Sheridan College, founded in 1967, is a polytechnic institute in Ontario with approximately 23,000 full-time students and 35,000 continuing education students. The Davis Campus in Brampton is the largest of Sheridan's three campuses where students can study applied health, community services, engineering, and technology. The hands-on nursing lab, pharmacy lab, animal care center, and athletic therapy clinic will help future health professionals gain experience and interact with patients. The Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Design allows engineering students to troubleshoot and create alongside local businesses, building their resume and giving them real-world experience in a constructive environment. Since the campus is located in the Greater Toronto Area, students can easily access everything Toronto has to offer including diverse neighborhoods, the famous CN Tower and Royal Ontario Museum, and plenty of opportunities to socialize with other university students and intellectuals. Brampton itself has Garden Square where the community gathers for free events, as well as several parks near campus where students can study and relax between classes. As the biggest of the three campuses, the Davis Campus also has its own residence hall.
