International Language Academy of Washington - ILA
The International Language Academy of Washington D.C. (or ILA) was founded on the basis of excellence in education, with a focus on making the experience as interactive for the student as possible. The want to help their students to not only achieve their education goals, but to be successful in all areas of their lives. This is accomplished by a combination of the teaching that occurs in the classroom and the social events the students participate in during their studies.
Students who study at ILA have the opportunity to really soak in the culture and history of America. The country’s capital is filled with monuments, museums, and iconic landmarks. A few must-see sites are the White House, the National Mall, the Lincoln Memorial, and the United States Capital.
In addition, to aid in the success of their students, the school even has a bridge program with the University of Mary Washington. With the program, eligible students at ILA have guaranteed acceptance into the university so that they continue on their educational journeys.

Fairfax is a city in northern Virginia, located just 17 miles west of Washington D.C. Sparkling waters of the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean gently lap against miles of the city’s sandy beaches, against a backdrop of the Blue Ridge and Allegheny mountains. It is no wonder this city is ranked third by Forbes on the Top 25 Places to Live Well. Downtown Fairfax boasts unique restaurants, free community festivals and boutique shops. A quick 45-minute metro ride away can find you standing in front of the White House or some of the world-famous (and free) Smithsonian museums. Whether you are shopping along the Georgetown Waterfront, hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, or visiting historic US sites like George Washington's home, you will never run out of things to do in this vibrant city.
