Manchester City Academy - MA, formerly known as MCSE, has been training students in the English language since 2005. As members of English UK who are accredited by the British Council, MC Academy is able to offer Cambridge Exam and IELTS preparation. A variety of General English and specialized courses are also offered, including Business English, a Ladies Only Class, and one-on-one tutoring. The minimum age for most courses is 16, though the academy also offers a summer intensive that combines classes and an active social program for students ages 10-17. As England's third largest city, Manchester is home to world-famous universities, numerous museums and art galleries, spacious parks and gardens, two Premier League football teams, and historic libraries such as Chetham's Library which has been in operation since 1653. The academy's monthly social calendar often includes visits to these local sites, trips to other areas of the UK, and free in-house events.
