Cultura Italiana Arezzo

Cultura Italiana Arezzo

The Cultura Italiana Arezzo Italian Language School is an accredited language school that combines language lessons with extracurricular activities so students can apply new vocabulary and concepts to everyday life. Teachers facilitate a relaxed environment and are able to focus on their students' needs in classes with no more than ten students. Individual tutoring is also available for students who would like more focused attention. Along with general Italian courses, the school offers specialty classes that focus on cinema, literature, and music for more advanced students. Beginning students through advanced students can also combine their language studies with cooking classes, art history classes, music lessons, watercolor lessons, and hikes through the countryside surrounding the city. Students have a variety of accommodation options, including staying with an Italian family, living in a private or shared apartment, or staying at a local bed and breakfast. The school also helps students book vacations with friends or family in the Tuscan countryside. Whichever course and accommodation students choose, the staff at the school makes sure they are plugged in to plenty of activities and excursions in order to assist their Italian studies. Arezzo is a small city of less than 100,000 tucked into the Tuscan hills. The city and its historic Renaissance-era churches and cathedrals are famous for their beautifully-ornate and well-preserved frescoes. Students will enjoy visiting the Arezzo Cathedral, the Basilica of San Francesco, and the 10th century Santa Maria della Pieve with its unique stone architecture. The central location of the Cultura Italiana campus makes walking to some of the main sites easy, with one of the most popular locations being the nearby Piazza Grande with its medieval architecture, monuments, cafes, and restaurants. Excursions planned by the school will allow students to experience all the landscapes Tuscany has to offer, along with soaking up all the history found in the birthplace of the Renaissance.
