Schiller Language School

Schiller Language School

Schiller Language School specializes in preparing prospective university students for their entrance exams as well as for life at a German university. Since the school mostly focuses on this one area of German language learning, they are also able to assist students with student visas, selecting which university is the best fit for them, and applications and admissions services for universities across the country. The teachers at Schiller are experts in training students to pass the TestDaF and DSH entrance exams as well as any tests required by a public Studienkolleg. Doctors who already hold a medical degree can take a medical German course in order to prepare for licensure in Germany, and teenagers fourteen to seventeen can attend a four-week summer camp in order to improve their German while enjoying outdoor activities and cultural excursions. All the activities and lessons at Schiller are geared toward the success of students as they progress towards living their lives in German. Bonn is one of the oldest cities in Germany and the former capital of West Germany. As the former capital, Bonn has all the amenities and infrastructure of a big city while maintaining a smaller population than nearby Cologne and Frankfurt. This allows students to experience the best of both worlds while getting to know locals and practicing their German. The Schiller Language School campus in Bonn is located on the banks of the Rhine River just fifteen minutes by car from the Schloss Drachenburg castle, ten minutes by car from the Poppelsdorf Palace and museum, and only a twenty minute walk from the birthplace of Beethoven. The area around the campus offers a multitude of restaurants and cafes where students can socialize with each other, a river walk along the Rhine, and Hofgarten Park where students can relax in the sun while studying for their exams. Students in Bonn may stay in a shared flat, in a private apartment, or with a German host family where they can practice living among Germans as they will during their time at university.
