ActiLingua Academy
Set across three campuses in beautiful and historic Vienna, Actilingua Academy has been teaching students Standard German for over 30 years. Each student group at Actilingua has access to at least two different teachers, modern curriculum, and multimedia language aids during their tenure at the school in order to ensure their courses are tailored to their preferred learning style. Students sixteen and older are able to choose the length and intensity of their Standard German course, or they are able to select a specialty course such as Business German, German and Music, German and Skiing, a university preparation course, or OSD and TELC exam preparation. Actilingua also assists qualified students with finding an internship (paid or unpaid, depending on the placement) with a local Austrian company. Younger students ages twelve to seventeen can attend a German summer school program, and teenagers sixteen to nineteen can take a short-term holiday course. In the summer, students are able to stay in a student house, and year round host families are ready to welcome students and assist them with German practice. Actilingua also has its own residence hall close to both campus and a metro stop.
The main campus of Actilingua Academy is in a prime location for leisurely exploring Vienna, taking in the art and history of the 2000-year-old city, and practicing German with the locals. Only ten minutes from campus is Stadtpark where students can relax in the sun or study beside the river. Just beyond the park is the local Ringstrasse, a circular road that sits where the old city walls once were and encloses the historic part of the city, making the old city easily walkable. Students can explore old palaces, bask in the Gothic beauty of the Votivkirche, or take in a show at the Vienna Opera House. Thanks to efficient European public transportation, cities such as Salzburg and Munich are only a train ride away. Actilingua staff are always ready to help students explore the area and use their German with guided tours, planned excursions, and day trips.
