Express English College
Express English College in Manchester approaches language learning with the goal of helping students improve their English while also providing a welcoming environment that enhances their experience. Students who are seventeen or older are able to choose how many hours a week they would like to study and what aspects of language they would like to focus on as teachers continually assess their progress and help set new learning targets. Students can choose General English classes, Business English classes, one-on-one tutoring, or exam prep for IELTS, and the largest class size allowed is twelve so students can receive the individual attention they need.
While in Manchester, students are able to stay in either a residence hall near the school or in a carefully-vetted homestay. Manchester provides plenty of amenities, and Express English college helps students take advantage of those in order to reinforce their cultural and language acquisition. The school offers several free events each week on campus, such as conversation club, film club, and lunch club, but trips are also arranged out into Manchester so students can experience the museums, the zoo, and the famous Manchester United and Etihad Stadiums. Students who enjoy football will especially love Manchester's football culture, though students who prefer calmer activities will also find plenty of extracurricular chances to practice their English.
