Hispania
The Hispania Method brings an element of flexibility to Spanish language lessons. Each class is prepared separately, based on the level and situation of each student, so students don't fall behind if they need to miss a class. This method works because each teacher is well-trained and able to marry quality and flexibility. Students can choose General Spanish classes, DELE Examination Prep, private tutoring, university prep classes, or Spanish classes mixed with tennis or cooking classes. More advanced students can also put their Spanish into practice and choose an internship with a local company. Students apartments are available, though students who want an immersive experience will benefit from staying with a local host family.
Valencia is the perfect city for learning about Spanish culture along with the Spanish language. As an ancient city dating back over 2,000 years, Valencia boasts Roman ruins, Gothic towers, and medieval city gates. However, as a modern city of the 21st century, Valencia is also home to futuristic structures, a planetarium, an aquarium, and The City of Arts and Sciences. Students will find ample opportunities through the school's social calendar to discover both ancient and modern Valencia, rounding out their Spanish cultural education and giving them opportunities to use their Spanish with locals.
City Name | Valencia
Population: 798,033
The port city of Valencia, Spain’s third-largest city, lies on the country’s southeastern coast where the Turia River meets the Mediterranean Sea. While the city contains many monuments, Valencia’s modern crown jewel is the City of Arts and Sciences, a futuristic complex of museums, cinemas, theaters, and more. A glorious green ribbon of park winds right through this wonderfully livable city that is characterized by its thriving cultural, eating and nightlife scenes. Brilliant contemporary buildings grace the city along with a handful of fabulous Modernista buildings, great museums, a long stretch of beach and a large old quarter. The city’s old center is full of character, with a knot of little streets and splendid medieval buildings like the UNESCO-listed Lonja de la Seda.
