The American University (AU) is a private research university in Washington, D.C., United States. It is located in the Tenley town neighborhood in the northwest portion of the district. The university has Eight schools and colleges.

Terrace Dining Room, affectionately known as TDR, provides a variety of options in a comfortable setting. Students can watch the preparation of their made-to-order dish or try out entrées featuring local and sustainable ingredients, international cuisines, or dishes reminiscent of home.
Chico is located on the Kitsap Peninsula in the Puget Sound region of Washington State. Chico, named in 1889 to honor Indian Chief Chico, who lived in the area, is a small residential area along the west side of Dyes Inlet between Silverdale and Bremerton. The area has beautiful water views and views of Mt. Rainier to the South.
