Founded in Nashville, Tennessee in 1891, Lipscomb University is a private, Christian, liberal arts institution that emphasizes the importance of spiritual growth along side academics. The University has more than 4,500 students who can chose from the eight bachelor’s degrees in 78 majors or 145 areas of undergraduate study, 25 master’s degrees, and three doctorate degrees. The residential campus is located in the Green Hills area of Nashville, Tenn. Though there are four off-campus program opportunities located in Downtown Nashville, Murfreesboro, Cool Springs, Sumner County. Clubs, events, and special activities on campus give students rooms to learn new skills, make new friends, and get involved with the activities that they love the most.
Nashville is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Tennessee and the seat of Davidson County. It is located on the Cumberland River in northern Middle Tennessee. The city is a center for the music and is home to Vanderbilt University.
