Dresden University of Technology (TU Dresden), established in 1828, is a public research university. It shapes the largest institute of higher education in the city of Dresden, the largest university in Saxony and one of the 10 largest universities in Germany. It is also ranked among the best universities of engineering and technology in Germany.
TU Dresden has 14 faculties including departments, schools and research centers covering various programs and fields of study.
