Coventry is a city in the West Midlands of England, home to Coventry University in its city center and the University of Warwick on the southern outskirts. Once a bustling hub for cloth, clocks, bicycles, automobiles, and ammunition, it was badly blitzed by the Nazis in WWII. Today, it is currently undergoing a resurgence of redevelopment, with a new Coventry Cathedral to replace the 14th century cathedral destroyed in the war and several other similar projects that are renovating the city. Coventry even won the title of UK City of Culture, which is expected to bring social and economic benefits to the area. Visitors can experience the Coventry music scene at the free Godiva Festival, take helicopter lessons, or visit the famous Warwick Arts Centre.
