Jeddah University was established in 2014 as a public university in Saudi Arabia's second largest city. In compliance with the Saudi Vision 2030 goals, Jeddah University works to raise up male and female leaders who will stand at the forefront of international development while working for the betterment of their own country. In order to accomplish these goals, Jeddah University is the first Saudi Arabian university to offer dual enrollment to high school students as well as an accelerated program for gifted and talented students. Around 12% of the 7,500 students are international , and the small student body size allows professors to give students the individualized attention they need to succeed. Students can choose from a variety of areas of study, including Islamic studies, business, applied medical sciences, education, engineering, medicine, social sciences, art and design, law, sports sciences, communications, and languages. While in Jeddah, students will be able to view the possibilities presented to them by their chosen career path. Jeddah is full of industry, advanced medical facilities, creativity, and innovation. All of this is symbolized by the Kingdom Tower skyscraper, set to become the largest building in the world upon completion. However, Jeddah also offers plenty in the way of entertainment and relaxation, including the palm tree-lined Jeddah Corniche, King Fahd's Fountain, and the Jeddah Aquarium. Close to the Jeddah University campus are the Haifa Mall, the Oasis Mall, Starbucks, and plenty of restaurants, guaranteeing that students have nearby places to study, unwind, and socialize with friends.
