Avila University was founded in 1916 in Kansas City, Missouri, as a women’s college under the name *St. Teresa’s Academy*, and later evolved into what is now known as Avila University. Avila University Arizona is an additional location affiliated with the main Avila University campus in Kansas City, Missouri, United States.
