Limassol is a city on the southern coast of Cyprus. It’s known for the centuries-old Limassol Castle, home to the Cyprus Medieval Museum and its collection of pottery and tombstones. It has been ranked by TripAdvisor as the 3rd up-and-coming and destination in the world and is known for having a high standard of living. The history of the city is largely associated with the events of the Third Crusade, during which the Byzantine dominion of the country was brought to an end. Today, old shuttered
houses and modern boutiques wrap around the castle in the city center. Visitors and locals alike mix together among the buzzing cafes, bars, and restaurants.
