Victoria University is one of the few dual-sector universities in Australia, including both vocational and educational courses under one roof. They have received numerous accolades, ranked in the top 2 percent in the world by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Although the university was officially established in 1991, its roots can be traced back to 1916 where it began as a technical school intended to help students acquire practical skills needed to join the skills based workforce.
